Vol. 357 No. 3

Written Answers. - Insurance Corporation of Ireland.

521.

asked the Minister for Industry, Trade, Commerce and Tourism the extent to which his Department, acting as the Irish Regulatory Authority, depended for information about the affairs of the Insurance Corporation of Ireland on the British Regulatory Authorities; the extent to which his Department had its own independent sources; if he will outline the mechanisms by which his Department performs its regulatory functions in matters such as this; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I propose to deal fully with these matters in the course of my speech on the Second Reading of the Insurance (Miscellaneous Provisions) Bill, 1985, which I expect will be taken in the House on 27 March 1985.
