Vol. 357 No. 4

Written Answers. - Land Division.

555.

asked the Minister for Agriculture when it is intended to divide the approximately 900 acres held by the land commission in the Coole area of County Westmeath; and if the land will be restricted to those already renting land from the commission.

About 150 acres are at present being allotted. The remainder will be disposed of as quickly as possible but the programme may be affected by staff releases that will have to be made in connection with the new farm tax. In the disposal of these lands, all interests will be fully considered.
