asked the Minister for Justice if uniformed British police are permitted to question and search Irish citizens as they board the Sealink car ferry in Dún Laoghaire; and if he is aware that this occurred at 20.45 hours on 25 March 1985.

Limerick East): I am not so aware. I am informed by the Garda authorities that the personnel who apparently questioned and removed flag poles and other items from a number of football supporters on the Sealink car ferry on the date in question were British Rail security personnel and not British police.
