558.

559.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in the payment of a £1,000 new house grant to a person (details supplied) in County Louth; and when this grant will be paid.

There has been no undue delay in dealing with this case. The applicant's file is with my Department's inspector for final inspection, by appointment, and this will be carried out shortly. The grant will be paid if the inspection establishes that the house is satisfactorily completed and occupied and that all the conditions applying to the grant scheme have been complied with.
