Vol. 357 No. 11

Written Answers. - Beaumont Dublin Hospital.

583.

asked the Minister for Health the reasons Beaumont Hospital will not open in July 1985.

584.

asked the Minister for Health if he will list the remaining items of equipment required for Beaumont Hospital which have not yet been ordered.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 583 and 584 together. The consultants in Jervis Street Hospital and St. Laurence's Hospital have rejected proposals I put to them regarding private practice facilities at Beaumont Hospital. In view of this impasse, it is not now possible to meet the target date of 1 July 1985 for the opening of the hospital.

Because of the detailed nature of the items of equipment remaining to be ordered for Beaumont Hospital, it is not possible for me to give a comprehensive list in this reply.
