Vol. 358 No. 1

Written Answers. - Disabled Person's Maintenance Allowance.

612.

asked the Minister for Health the reason for the delay in notifying a person (details supplied) in County Cork of the result of his application for a disabled persons' maintenance allowance lodged in October 1984.

An application by the person in question for a disabled persons maintenance allowance was received by the Southern Health Board on 2 November 1984. The reason for the delay in processing the application was due to the absence of a proper set of farm accounts to enable the health board to carry out a means test. The applicant's means have now been assessed and a decision on the application will be taken very shortly.
