Vol. 358 No. 2

Written Answers. - County Tipperary School.

595.

asked the Minister for Education if she will sanction the urgently needed extension to Newport vocational school in view of the unsatisfactory accommodation for over 100 students in old prefabs and of the serious effect on health and educational standards of this inadequate accommodation.

Planning of the extension to the Newport vocational school has reached the stage where revised bills of quantities are under examination. When the examination has been completed and the documentation found to be satisfactory, the question of giving approval to the County Tipperary (NR) Vocational Education Committee for the seeking of tenders will be considered in the light of the Department's overall commitments.
