Vol. 358 No. 5

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

595.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason the £1,832 balance of a grant was not paid to the Knockatinty group water scheme, Kilkishen, County Clare, since March 1983.

Arrangements have been made to inspect the domestic water supplies in this scheme at an early date so that the total grant allocation can be determined and any grants outstanding paid to the group as soon as possible.

596.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will expedite payment of a £1,000 new house grant for a person (details supplied) in County Roscommon.

It is a condition of payment of the new house grant that the applicant must occupy the house on completion as his or her normal place of residence on a full time basis. A grant cannot be paid in this case until the person named submits the evidence requested by my Department to support his claim that he is in full time occupation of the house.
