The procedures necessary to enable me to make an order confirming amending schemes to incorporate proposed increased levels of pensions, improved death-in-service benefits and revised ill-health retirement qualifications into the CIE wages grade pensions schemes have not yet been completed. Subject to compliance with the procedures and to the other requirements being met, it is the intention that an implementation date of 1 March 1985 will apply except in the case of the revised ill-health retirement qualifications. It would not be practicable to apply a retrospective date to these.
