Vol. 358 No. 5

Written Answers. - Glasnevin (Dublin) Old Folk's Home.

613.

asked the Minister for Health the plans which exist for the utilisation of Eastern Health Board land in the grounds of St. Clare's Home, Glasnevin; and if the north Dublin national school project, which is multidenominational and integrated, could be provided with a school site at that location.

Over the past number of years the Eastern Health Board have disposed of the greater part of their lands at St. Clare's Home for local community purposes such as housing, schools, special schools, and churches. Part of the remaining land is not suitable for development. The health board are at present drawing up plans for the future use of the lands still at their disposal. In drawing up these plans the health board will have regard to the requests which it has received from a number of bodies including the north Dublin national school project for the use of the lands. Until such time as the plans have been finalised it is not possible to allocate any lands to meet these requests.
