The total per capita national debt at each of the years requested was: 1982, £3,675; 1983, £4,475; 1984, £5,233.
The debt figures used in the calculations are based on the actual outturns for 1982 and 1983 published in the Finance Accounts and on a provisional outturn for 1984 prepared by the Department of Finance. The population figures used are estimates supplied by the Central Statistics Office.
