The evidence available does not indicate that the use of the weedkiller Round-Up involves any risks. As regards the weedkiller, Avadex, the evidence does not show any risks in respect of consumer and environmental aspects but further tests are required to evaluate if there are any risks to operators.
While at present there is no power to require safety tests to be carried out on weedkillers, the published results of such tests carried out in other countries are evaluated by my Department.
