Vol. 358 No. 9

Written Answers. - Appointment of Equality Officers.

569.

asked the Minister for Defence if he will state in respect of his Department and each semi-State body for which he is responsible, whether the appointment of equality officers has been made; and, if not, when such appointments may be made.

A specially designated equality officer has not been appointed in my Department; any equality issue which might arise would be dealt with as part of the personnel function through the existing negotiating machinery. There are no semi-State bodies under the aegis of my Department.
