I propose to take Questions Nos. 743 to 751, inclusive, together.

I am informed that redundancy lump sums have recently been paid to the employees concerned. However, my Department have not yet received claims for payment of relevant rebates. Consequently, particulars of the entitlements in individual cases are not available to the Department.

I should explain that the calculation of the amounts of lump sums payable is a matter for An Bord Telecom as the employer. I understand that there have been some disagreements between certain employees and An Bord Telecom concerning the amounts of lump sums due. If any of the employees concerned is still dissatisfied with the amount of lump sum as calculated by An Bord Telecom, she is entitled to submit an appeal to the Employment Appeals Tribunal.
