A report on the damage to the new (Castle) pier at Carrigaholt, County Clare, together with a recommendation as to the repairs that are necessary is at present being appraised in my Department.
Until this appraisal is completed I cannot say what grant, if any, would be justified towards the cost of the repairs in the fisheries interest.
