Vol. 358 No. 13

Written Answers. - Private Beef Storage.

647.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if it is his intention to aid the private storage of beef in any way; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

An EC scheme of private storage aids, under which contracts for 14,913 tonnes of beef were taken out in Ireland between 15 April and 26 April 1985, is now concluding. The latest date for putting beef into store under this scheme is 31 May 1985. There are as yet no indications as to when another such scheme will be introduced by the EC.
