Vol. 359 No. 1

Written Answers. - Dublin School.

195.

asked the Minister for Education the reason such a long delay has occurred in authorising the Office of Public Works to go to tender for the construction of Gael Scoil Inse Cóir.

My Department on 27 July 1984 sanctioned a grant towards the cost of construction of Gael Scoil Inse Cóir national school, Dublin. I understand from the Commissioners of Public Works, who are handling the architectural planning of the project, that the work pertaining to the detail design stage is well advanced and is expected to be completed in the reasonably near future. I am asking the commissioners to expedite the work as much as possible. The question of inviting tenders for the project will not arise for consideration until such time as the detail design of the project has been completed.
