asked the Taoiseach the value of footwear imported in 1984; and if he will express this as a percentage of the Irish market.

Imports of footwear were valued at £100.1 million in 1984. Based on the quantities involved it is estimated that the import share of the domestic footwear market for the same year was about 92 per cent.
