Vol. 359 No. 6

Written Answers. - Dublin School Staffing.

179.

asked the Minister for Education if she has studied the special submission made by the principal and staff of a school (details supplied) in Dublin 11 in connection with the special educational needs of the student population at the school and particularly in connection with two teaching posts which are in danger of suppression if criteria as applied to ideal situations and circumstances are enforced; and if she will at least have the status quo in respect of teachers maintained.

The staffing arrangements in the school in question are being examined in the context of a general review of staffing in schools in areas of disadvantage. The school authorities will be advised in the matter as soon as possible.
