Vol. 359 No. 9

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

343.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will arrange for the immediate payment of all cattle and sheep headage grants due to a person (details supplied) in County Galway.

The person named has been paid his 1984 cattle headage grants under the disadvantaged areas schemes and his 1984 suckler cow premium already. He will be paid his calf premium in respect of a calf born between 16 June 1984 and 31 December 1984 when payments commence in July 1985. Headage grants have been paid to him in respect of all sheep which my Department believes were his property.

344.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will arrange for the immediate payment of mountain and hill pasture improvement scheme grants to a person (details supplied) in County Galway.

An inspection made on 31 May 1985 showed that the approved work in this case had not been fully carried out and the applicant was informed of what was necessary to enable the grant application to be processed. When he notifies the local farm development service that the work has been completed as required a further inspection will take place.
