Vol. 359 No. 9

Written Answers. - Medical Expenses Refund.

123.

asked the Minister for Health if he will arrange for the issue of a refund of medical expenses to a person (details supplied) in Dublin 12 who paid £68 for the month of May for medicines and who has applied for a refund under the Eastern Health Board scheme; and if he will agree that it is unsatisfactory for this person to be told that he must wait six weeks for a refund since he is an old age pensioner and has to pay in excess of £50 for tablets almost every month.

My Department have been informed by the Eastern Health Board that a refund in respect of the claim in question was made to the applicant concerned on 14 June 1985. The claim was received by the board on 30 May 1985.
