Vol. 359 No. 10

Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers. - Old IRA Pension.

5.

asked the Minister for Defence if he will arrange an old IRA pension for a person (details supplied) in County Clare.

The person referred to in the question only recently satisfied the statutory conditions for the grant of a special allowance under the Army Pensions Acts. A special allowance was granted to him with effect from 28 May 1985.

Can the Minister give an indication of the approximate number of people receiving IRA pensions this year?

If the Deputy puts down a question or writes to me I will give him that information. I have not the information here.

The question relates to a specific case.

I appreciate that.
