asked the Minister for Labour if he is aware that the Croom Development Project Committee have collected £100,000 locally towards the cost of the provision of a community centre; and whether he is prepared to entertain an application from them for a grant for the purposes of providing this much needed amenity in the Croom area.

My Department received an application for capital grant assistance from this group yesterday, 8 July 1985. The closing date for receipt of completed application forms in respect of the 1985 capital grant allocation was 31 March 1985. Applications received after that date will be considered when the 1986 allocation is being decided.
