Vol. 360 No. 6

Written Answers. - State and Semi-State Bodies Reports.

34.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will take steps to ensure that reports from State and semi-State bodies under the aegis of his Department are made available to Oireachtas Members at the earliest opportunity rather than the present practice which means that Oireachtas Members may get such data many days after these reports have been publicly discussed and circulated; and if he will make the necessary representations to the bodies concerned.

I am satisfied that where legislation so requires reports of bodies under the aegis of my Department are laid before each House of the Oireachtas. If the Deputy is aware of any difficulties in relation to the availability of reports furnished by any of the bodies under the aegis of my Department I would be glad to look into the matter further on receipt of the necessary details.
