Vol. 361 No. 1

Written Answers. - Disturbance Allowances Payment.

104.

asked the Minister for Defence the reason disturbance allowances due to certain Army officers in respect of their transfers are not being paid; and the reason the appropriate regulation under the Defence Act is being disregarded by him in this respect.

There is no provision in Defence Force regulations for payment of disturbance allowances to Army officers. I assume that the Deputy is referring to change of station allowances which are payable subject to the provisions of the relevant Defence Force Regulations S3 and Q10. I am not aware of any officer whose claim for payment of these allowances was disallowed contrary to the provisions of the regulations.
