Vol. 361 No. 2

Ceisteanna-Questions. Oral Answers. - Curriculum and Examinations Board.

37.

asked the Minister for Education if she will give details regarding extra office accommodation, and extra staffing, if any, consequent upon the decision to site the Curriculum and Examinations Board Centre at her Department in Athlone.

I have asked the board to furnish an estimate of their accommodation requirements in Athlone and I am awaiting their response.

There are no additional staffing implications arising from the decision to locate the board in Athlone.

Is the Minister aware that the chairman of the Curriculum and Examinations Board, a very eminent gentleman, at a press conference in Athlone, stated that the siting of that board in Athlone would mean good employment prospects for the town? Will the Minister explain that statement?

The Deputy will have to ask the chairman of the board to explain that statement.

The chairman was appointed by the Minister. There is not any need for further questions. More "codswallop".

Go mhóra Dia orainn agus ar na leanaí.
