Vol. 361 No. 2

Written Answers. - Borris-in-Ossory (Laois) School.

23.

asked the Minister for Education when additional accommodation will be provided for the Convent of Mercy national school, Borris-in-Ossory, County Laois.

On 28 May 1984, my Department agreed in principle to grant-aid the provision of a new national school building comprising five classrooms, a general purposes room and other ancillary accommodation for the Convent of Mercy national school, Borris-in-Ossory, County Laois. A site offered by the chairman of the school's board of management has been examined by the Commissioners of Public Works and found to be suitable. My Department has requested the Commissioners of Public Works to prepare a sketch scheme for the new school. It is not possible, at this stage, to say when the new school will be completed.
