38.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason a £1,000 new house grant has not yet been paid to persons (details supplied) in County Tipperary as this house was inspected a considerable time ago; and when this grant will be paid.

A new house grant cannot be paid until an inspection establishes that the house is complete and occupied and complies with all other conditions governing the grant scheme. Following a recent inspection the grant will be paid shortly in this case.

39.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a person (details supplied) in County Clare will be paid his new house grant as the inspector called in July 1985.

Arising from a recent inspection in this case it was established that the house was not complete. A grant will be paid when a further inspection establishes that the house has been satisfactorily completed and occupied and complies with all the other conditions of the scheme.
