asked the Minister for the Environment when the tenant purchase scheme will be reintroduced for local authority tenants to purchase their own homes.
I propose to take Questions Nos. 27 and 39 together. Some anomalies have arisen in the application of the formula used in recent sales schemes to fix the sale price for local authority dwellings. I am reviewing these in the context of the new scheme currently being prepared. The terms of the new scheme will be announced as soon as possible after consultations with interested parties have taken place.
