asked the Minister for Justice the number of cases of (a) burglary, (b) house breaking of dwelling houses; (c) breaking into commercial buildings; (d) attempted house breaking, and (e) entering with intent that occurred in 1980 and 1984 in the Dublin Metropolitan Area; the number and percentage detected; and the number of convictions obtained in each case.

Limerick East): The information sought by the Deputy is set out hereunder in so far as it is available. The offences referred to at (a) to (e) of the question are recorded as crimes of burglary and aggravated burglary.

Burglaries (including aggravated burglaries) recorded and detected in the Dublin Metropolitan Area.
