Vol. 361 No. 11

Written Answers. - Rosslare Customs Clearance Building.

73.

asked the Minister for Communications if he will ensure that there will be no hold up in the progress of building the car/coach customs clearance building in Rosslare in 1986 as this building has only just commenced on moneys allocated from the 1985 Public Capital Programme; if he will guarantee a carryover of any unspent moneys to ensure an early completion for the 1986 tourist season.

The responsibility for completion of work on the new customs building at Rosslare Harbour rests with CIE. As the Deputy is aware, an Exchequer grant of £300,000 for the customs clearance building at Rosslare has been approved in the current financial year. The Estimates for 1986 are not yet finalised.
