asked the Minister for Finance the names and addresses of persons who are licensed under the Moneylenders Act that have been approved in the various District Courts and the authorised areas of operation as at 1 August 1985.
I propose to take Questions Nos. 79 and 80 together.
I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that moneylenders' licences are issued by them on foot of certificates granted by the District Court for the area in which the moneylender's business is to be carried on. Following is a list of holders of moneylenders' licences issued during the current licensing year commencing on 1 August 1985, and showing the address at which the business of moneylending is authorised to be carried on in each case. Holders of licences as at 1 August 1985 are indicated by an asterisk.
