Vol. 361 No. 12

Written Answers. - Redundancy Payment.

115.

asked the Minister for Labour if he will investigate the reason full redundancy payments have not been made to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny who was made redundant from Portlaw Tanneries in County Waterford on 23 March 1984.

The employee concerned was paid his full statutory redundancy lump sum of £2,432.71 from the redundancy and employers' insolvency fund on 21 October 1985. My Department have not received an application under the Protection of Employees (Employers' Insolvency) Act, 1984, in respect of any other payment claimed to be due to this employee. If he considers that he is entitled to any such payment, he should submit his application in the first instance to the receiver of the company. I will write to the Deputy explaining the procedure for making application.
