Vol. 362 No. 1

Written Answers. - Water and Sewerage Schemes.

57.

Mr. Coughlan

asked the Minister for the Environment the position regarding Ballybodonnel group water scheme, Dunkineely, County Donegal, if the proposed scheme has been approved for grant aid; the total cost of the work; and the amount which will be forthcoming by way of grants.

State grants totalling £15,100 in respect of 13 domestic connections were approved by my Department on 30 October 1985. This scheme is estimated to cost £21,400.

58.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will expedite final payments to a group water scheme (details supplied) in County Roscommon.

My Department has had no notification from the group that all outstanding work on the scheme has been completed. However, in view of the Deputy's statement, a further inspection of the scheme will be arranged with a view to finalising grants for the group as soon as possible.

59.

Mr. Coughlan

asked the Minister for the Environment the up to date position in relation to departmental approval for the proposed sewerage scheme at Ballybofey, County Donegal, and the estimated cost of the scheme.

Contract documents for the Ballybofey-Stranorlar sewerage scheme are with my Department at present. However, Donegal County Council have been requested to confirm that all necessary preliminary arrangements for the scheme have been completed in order to enable me to give further consideration to the proposal. I am not in a position to state the estimated cost as this might prejudice the tendering procedure.
