Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

97.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a £5,000 grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will re-investigate the circumstances pertaining to the refusal to pay a new house grant in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Kildare who has been refused the grant on the grounds that she is not living in her house, which she refutes absolutely.

The Housing Regulations, 1980, require that a person, in order to qualify for the new house grant, must occupy the house in question as his or her normal place of residence. On the basis of the evidence available to my Department the applicant has not satisfied this statutory condition.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason the £5,000 grant for local authority tenants who purchase their own house has not yet been paid to a person (details supplied) in County Tipperary; and the date this will be paid.
