I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that a review of the taxpayer's liability for the year 1984-85 to take account of relief due for interest paid on a home improvement loan was completed on 21 November 1985. An overpayment emerged and a cheque in settlement will be issued to the taxpayer as soon as possible. The Deputy was advised of the position in a letter of 21 November 1985 from the inspector.
