Vol. 362 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Driving Courses.

15.

asked the Minister for Labour the number of heavy goods vehicle driving courses being held in the country and the reasons AnCO have discontinued this course in their Cork centre.

Heavy goods vehicle driving courses are at present run by AnCO at four training centres, namely, Ballyfermot and Tallaght in Dublin and in Galway and Athlone. In December 1983 it was decided to discontinue the course at the Cork centre due to the exceptionally low placement rate which was only 14 per cent.
