Vol. 362 No. 5

Written Answers. - Kilronan (Galway) Sewerage Scheme.

72.

asked the Minister for Communications if he will arrange for an oral hearing in connection with the application for a licence to discharge sewerage at Kilronan, Aran Islands, County Galway, made by Galway County Council in connection with the proposed Kilronan sewerage scheme and the name of persons and organisations who have submitted objections.

I have under consideration an application from Galway County Council for a licence under the Foreshore Act, 1933, to lay a sewage outfall pipe on the foreshore at Kilronan, Inishmore. I do not consider it necessary to hold a public inquiry in relation to the application which is being processed in the normal manner. In the interests of confidentiality, it is not the practice to publish the names of those who submit objections to foreshore applications.
