The Commissioners of Public Works have no immediate proposals for conservation or other works at the national monuments which are in their care on Scattery Island, County Clare. The commissioners have no other property on the island.

Following are details of the national monuments and sites in County Clare which are in the ownership or guardianship of the Commissioners of Public Works, which have been made the subject of preservation orders or which have been listed in Irish Oifigiúil. The commissioners have under consideration the making of a preservation order in respect of the monastic precincts surrounding Corcomroe Abbey, and the making of a guardianship order in respect of Poulnabrone Dolmen:
