Vol. 362 No. 14

Written Answers. - Kerry Industrial Estate.

20.

asked the Minister for Industry, Trade, Commerce and Tourism the steps he has taken recently to promote the industrial estate in Ballyspillane, Killarney, County Kerry, in view of the high unemployment rate in the area; and if he will make a statement on the matter outlining the present position in relation to each factory unit in this particular estate.

I am informed that the Industrial Development Authority are continuing to promote actively their industrial estate in Killarney for suitable industrial development. There are four 26,000 sq. ft. factories on the Ballyspillane industrial estate, two of which are occupied. There are eight other smaller factory units on the estate, six of which are occupied.
