Vol. 363 No. 4

Written Answers. - Shannon Valley Flood Scheme.

30.

asked the Minister for Agriculture the arrangements he proposes to make to allow farmers in the Shannon Valley flood scheme area to apply for the grain for rain scheme.

Farmers who have been paid less than the maximum subsidy of £500 under the Shannon Valley flood scheme and who had an animal feed deficiency are being automatically considered for vouchers under the feed voucher scheme subject to their total benefit not exceeding the £500 maximum. They do not have to make a fresh application.
