Vol. 363 No. 4

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

154.

asked the Minister for Agriculture when a 1985 grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry in relation to a shelter belt which he is providing around his farm; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

A grant of £400 for a shelter belt under the programme for western development was paid in this case on 19 August 1983. An application form issued by ACOT to applicant on 16 January 1984 in respect of a second shelter belt has not been returned for processing.

155.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will arrange for the immediate payment of cattle headage grants to a person (details supplied) in County Galway.

The person named has been paid her 1985 cattle headage, suckler cow and calf premium grants already.

156.

asked the Minister for Agriculture when cattle headage payments will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Donegal.

A brother (now deceased) of the person named is the registered owner of the herd number in question.

The person named and another brother are the joint applicants for 1985 EC suckler cow, calf premium and cattle headage grants. However, they have not yet made an application to become joint registered owners of the herd number. They should now do so in order that the question of their entitlement to grants can be considered further.
