Vol. 363 No. 6

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take item No. 16.

I wish to inquire why the live broadcast of the budget debate was switched off on RTE last evening around 6.15 p.m., and if the switching off complied with Order No. 4 of the House on 28 January 1986 which stated that there would be a live broadcast of the budget debate?

I will have inquiries made into it and I will communicate with the Deputy.

I suggest that the broadcast was not switched off by RTE but on instructions from this House.

I will inquire into it and I will communicate with the Deputy.

(Interruptions.)

It is just as well it was, as nobody wanted to hear it anyway.

Deputy Albert Reynolds on item No. 16.

May I raise on the Adjournment the failure of the Minister for Health to provide funding to erect a structure in the Cork Regional Hospital over the radio-therapy unit?

I will communicate with Deputy O'Keeffe. Deputy Reynolds has 1½ hours, on item No. 16.

(Interruptions.)
