Vol. 363 No. 10

Written Answers. - Stock Exchange Regulations.

29.

(Dublin North-West) asked the Minister for Industry, Trade, Commerce and Tourism if he will give details of any changes he proposes in stock exchange regulations; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The European Communities (Stock Exchange) Regulations which I introduced in November 1984 gave effect to three separate EC directives. These directives related to the conditions governing the admission of securities to stock exchange listing; the contents of prospectuses published when securities are admitted to stock exchange listing, and the information to be published on a regular basis by companies whose shares are listed on the stock exchange.

I have no proposals at the present time to change these regulations.
