Vol. 363 No. 11

Written Answers. - Motor Taxation Sub-Office.

37.

asked the Minister for the Environment when it is his intention to set up a motor vehicle licensing and registration office in the Dún Laoghaire area; and if he has rejected the concept of such licensing and registration through post offices.

The question of opening a further motor taxation sub-office in any part of Dublin is premature, pending experience of the operation of the sub-office which was recently opened at Nutgrove shopping centre. The location of that sub-office was specifically selected to serve the motoring public of south Dublin in the area extending from Dún Laoghaire to Tallaght. The answer to the second part of the question is "no".
