Vol. 363 No. 11

Written Answers. - County Donegal Industrial Development.

53.

asked the Minister for Industry, Trade, Commerce and Tourism the efforts being made to alleviate the serious unemployment situation in County Donegal.

The Industrial Development Authority will continue actively to promote County Donegal as a location for industrial development. During 1985, some seven overseas companies were taken to view a variety of potential industrial sites in the county. In addition, as part of the IDA's policy of regionalisation, the Donegal Small Industry Board was established in 1985 with full responsibility for processing and approving small industrial projects in the area. During 1985 the board approved 35 projects with a job potential of 254.
