asked the Minister for Health if he will outline the expenditure cuts in the health non-capital estimates announced by the Government in the Budget Statement of the Minister for Finance; and where exactly and the extent to which the reductions will be made.
Written Answers. - Public Expenditure Cuts.
In his Budget Statement the Minister for Finance announced overall public expenditure reductions of £55 million on the figures in the abridged Estimate volume published in December 1985.
The cuts included the following subhead reductions in relation to the published Health Estimate for 1986:

To enable expenditure levels of health agencies to be improved, a transfer of £5 million from subhead G5 to subhead G1 and subhead G4 is being effected. In addition, the provision in subhead G1 and G3 is being increased by £1.300 million in respect of increases in cash allowances announced in the budget, and the special aid package for Bantry region will provide an extra £.176 million for health under subhead K. These adjustments, with the cuts mentioned above, will result in the following changes in the published Health Estimate for 1986:
