A grant will be paid when an inspection establishes that the house has been satisfactorily completed and occupied and all the conditions of the grant scheme have been fulfilled. The inspection will be carried out as soon as possible.

(Limerick West) asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in the payment of a house improvement grant in respect of a person (details supplied) in County Limerick.
A grant could not be allowed in this case because, contrary to a statutory condition of eligibility, the work had commenced prior to an inspection of the house. The applicant was so informed on 25 November 1982.
