Vol. 364 No. 1

Written Answers. - Inniskeen (Monaghan) Garda Station.

91.

asked the Minister for Finance if he intends to reopen the Garda station at Inniskeen, County Monaghan; and when it is expected that a premises will be acquired.

The Department of Justice formally approved the re-establishment of a Garda station at Inniskeen, County Monaghan, in March 1982.

While it has not been possible to date to locate a suitable premises for use as a Garda station, the Commissioners of Public Works are currently investigating a property in order to determine its suitability. Until such time as a suitable site or premises becomes available I cannot say when accommodation can be provided for the Garda at Inniskeen.
