Vol. 364 No. 4

Written Answers. - Killybegs (Donegal) Syncrolift.

67.

Mr. Coughlan

asked the Minister for Tourism, Fisheries and Forestry when the syncrolift will be provided, as promised, in Killybegs, County Donegal; and, if a contractor has been approved, if he will outline the cost of the work, the time scale involved in the erection of the syncrolift and the date on which work will commence.

Tenders have been received and examined for the provision of a syncrolift at Killybegs, County Donegal. The work is estimated to cost some £2.4 million and the project will take approximately three years to complete. The financial accommodation is being finalised and when this is completed the contract will be placed.
